HD Cattle Company – Customer Spotlight

HD Cattle Company, located in Waxahachie, Texas is owned and operated by Hugh and Dana Huber. Residents of Ellis County for over 25 years, the Huber’s raise Brangus cattle. At a young age, Mr. Hurber worked cattle for several ranchers and found this was his passion. Shortly after moving to Ellis County, he started his operation, running an average of 60 head. Due to health reasons, the Huber’s herb now consists of 20 momma cows, a Horned Hereford and a Charolais Bull.

Mr. Huber chooses to feed Ark Country Store ACS Cattle Grower and 38% Cotton Seed Cake Cubes. In addition to this the feed, he also supplements with 30% Rangeland Purlyx protein tubs and Purina Wind & Rain mineral tubs with fly control. He says “The combination of the protein tubs and mineral tubs with fly control keep my herd looking and feeling great. I can see a huge difference in their coat which is now slick and shiny and their offspring are healthy and active.”

The Huber’s attend the Ark Country Store Cattle Mineral meetings every spring to learn more about herd health, and mineral and protein supplementation. It’s also a good time to visit with local farmers and ranchers.
