Customer Spotlight: Kevin Chandler

Ark Country Store’s November Customer Spotlight is Kevin Chandler. Mr. Chandler is a Louisiana native where he grew up on a family-owned fully operational dairy farm. After moving to Ennis, Texas in 1998, Kevin now raises Registered Angus cattle and recently started a show pig operation. Along with spending time out at the barn with the animals, Mr. Chandler enjoys supporting the local FFA & 4H students both here in Texas and in Lousiana and is a member of the Ark-La-Tex Ag Council, which aids in producing the Junior Livestock Sale at the Louisiana State Fair.

Supporting local youth is part of giving back to the community. The FFA & 4H organizations positively impact and change young lives. As Mr. Chandler states “FFA and 4H are creating the leaders of tomorrow; these organizations teach kids responsibilities and many life lessons that they will be able to use down the road of life.”

An Ark Country Store customer since 2007, Mr. Chandler recommends Purina’s Honor Show Chow Full Range. The mixture of cottonseed hulls and steam flaked corn is what his cattle prefer and the price point is what Kevin likes. “You don’t find many places anymore where they treat you like you’re the only priority; like your part of the family,” says Chandler about Ark Country Store. “That keeps me coming back to shop Ark Country Store every time.” Kevin visits the store weekly, knows the employees by name and appreciates the helpful advice about his livestock and feed needs.
