Cannon Quarter Horses
Cannon Quarter Horses is owned by Billy & Michelle Cannon, in Waxahachie, Texas. They specialize in offspring from the Cutting, Reining, and Reined Cow Horse industry. This breeding operation includes about 50 horses bred by Artificial Insemination or In Vitro Fertilization and has been in operations for over 30 years. Michelle Cannon’s passion for horses started as a teenager and has led to a successful breeding operation.
Cannon Quarter Horses is most known for Shiners Nickle, a prized stallion who was the Reserve World Champion at the 2009 Snaffle Bit Futurity. He has passed away but continues to sire offspring through In Vitro Fertilization. One of his sired colts, Shiners Lil Nickle, was a finalist last year in the Stock Horse Futurity and the Snaffle Bit Futurity. His other colt, Shiney Outlaw, won the Stock Horse Futurity and was a finalist at the Snaffle Bit Futurity this year.
